Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival (Casablanca or Marrakech)

    Welcome and orientation.

  2. Day 2

    Casablanca to Rabat

    Hassan II Mosque, then Rabat's Kasbah of the Udayas and Royal Palace.

  3. Day 3

    Rabat to Meknes & Volubilis

    Explore Meknes' Bab Mansour gate and royal stables, then the Roman ruins of Volubilis.

  4. Day 4

    Fes Medina

    A full day guided tour of the medina, tanneries and artisan workshops.

  5. Day 5

    Fes to Merzouga

    Cross the Middle Atlas cedar forests and Ziz Valley oases to the Sahara; camel trek to camp.

  6. Day 6

    Sahara Exploration

    Sunrise over the dunes, an optional sandboarding or 4x4 desert excursion, then a drive to the Todra Gorge.

  7. Day 7

    Todra to Dades Gorge

    Gorge walks and Berber villages along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

  8. Day 8

    Dades to Ait Ben Haddou

    Visit the UNESCO kasbah, then continue over the Tizi n'Tichka Pass toward Marrakech.

  9. Day 9

    Marrakech

    A guided medina tour — the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, and Jemaa el-Fnaa by night.

  10. Day 10

    Departure

    Transfer to the Marrakech airport.
